We are thrilled to announce that Backup is now available on apple store, you will now be able to access the app from your apple mobile device.
Although the backup app has been available for download on the google play store since its launch in september 2021, IOS users have not been able to access it due to a few technical problems.
Backupapp allows its users to record and report audio/visual incidences of police brutality as well as add emergency contacts that can come to their aid when they find themselves in an emergency situation.
The app has a location tracking feature that helps users to share their live location with their emergency contacts in case they are taken to an undisclosed location.
How to use the backup app.
Search out ”BackupNG” on the App store.
- Once the app is installed on your phone it will require you to Sign up with your name, email, phone number and password.
- Next you can add an emergency contact by sharing your unique code that will be provided with your emergency contact or by entering their unique emergency code. Note that your emergency contact must also have the backup app installed on their device. Once that is done, you are ready to use backup!
- In the case of an emergency, you can click on the report button and your emergency contact will get a notification that will let them know you are in distress.
You can also share audio and video live recordings of the incident with your emergency contacts.
